Job Description – Engagement Manager

Summary of Position

The Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the implementation project. The Engagement Manager works as a team member along with the Solution Architect, Technical Architect and Data Architect and has the overall responsibility to drive the project to competition.


  • Serve as the main driver of the client relationship and project communication
  • Owns and executes the project according to the EnablePath Methodology
  • Manage the budget, timeline, resources, scope
  • Create status reports and change requests in coordination with sales
  • Share best practices and consulting to clients throughout duration of the project
  • Drive process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Solutions Architect
  • Produce a detailed project plan to match customer requirements
  • Secure customer signoff for each delivery phase
  • Maintain project status and updates in EnablePath org
  • Logs and Maintains project in Salesforce partner portal
  • Produces a weekly status report documenting project health and progress
  • Document and gain approval for customer requirements definition
  • Participate in completion and implementation solution documentation
  • Participate in user acceptance testing efforts as needed
  • Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Solutions Architect and other project team members
  • Lead internal project team meetings and meetings with the customer
  • Drive client satisfaction (CSAT) consistent with the criteria set forth by EnablePath for all client facing resources.
  • Participate in internal projects as required
  • Maintain current Salesforce certifications

Preferred Skills & Experience

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Cloud technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. Additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Brings 5+ years project management experience with packaged software or custom development implementations
  • Experience with other CRM software (Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, RightNow, etc.)
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent, or equivalent years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in professional services/consulting organization
  • Experience in Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile (Scrum) approaches to project management
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets
  • Experience working with global development teams preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to client locations (up to 50%)
  • SFDC Certifications Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, DEV, other
  • Ability to understand the business requirements and convert them into solution requirements
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
  • Certification in Project Management Methodologies preferred
  • Must maintain professional knowledge and relationships with the Salesforce ecosystem
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in professional services, sales or customer support operations
  • 2-3 years of Salesforce consulting experience
  • Proven Solutions consulting experience in large enterprises
